1.Soda
Soda provides no nutritional benefits and its packed with natural or chemically manufactured. This equates to extra calories in your diets and can ultimately results to unwanted weights gain. A typical 12 oz. Cola has 152 calories and in some places ,this is consider a small serving soda. Diet soda may be lower in calories , but still provides no nutritional value and often contain additives including artificial sweeteners. Skip the soda and reach for water instead.
2.Processed meat
Process meat can be significants source of sodium and also nitrate , which have been linked to cancer. Choose leaner meat like fresh roasted turkey or chicken and also opt for low sodium, low nitrate meat.
3.Butter
Butter is made from animal fat and contain cholesterol , calories and high level of saturated fat. Margarine is made from vegetable oil and is higher in the good fat , but may not be a better choice because it contain trans fat. When possible , use canola or olive oil instead .If you opt for a spread , go for one that is lower in calories and saturated fats and contain no trans fat.
4.Mayonnaise
One table spoon of mayonnaise contains a whooping 103 calories .Not only in calories but also contains high level of saturated fat , lower calories and fat free mayonnaise are available on the market, but there are often higher in sodium and sugar, and may contain other additives.
5.Over using of Pain killer
Over the counter pain medicines, such as NSAIDs(nonsteriodal anti-inflammatory drugs) may alleviate your aches and pains, but they can harm the kidneys, especially if you already have kidney disease. Reduce your regular use of NSAIDs and never go over the recommended dosage
6.Salt
Your body needs a little bit of salt in order to maintain proper fluid balance , but you can get enough from eating fruits and vegetable. Many processed food, however , add a great deal of salt in other to enhance flowers. The most common use form of salts is process table salt. When you eat too much salts, your Kidney respond by retaining water in other to dilute this electrolyte in your blood streams to maintain proper health function. This places a load on the kidney . Salt intake may also raise blood pressure , which can cause damage to the kidney nephron's which filter waste.
7.Artificial sweeteners
Sure, smoking isn't good for your lungs or your heart. But did you know that smoking may not be good for your kidneys either? People who smoke are more likely to have protein in the urine – a sign of kidney damage.
8. Drinking Alcohol in Excess
Regular heavy drinking – more than four drinks a day – has been found to double the risk chronic kidney . Heavy drinkers who also smoke have an even higher risk of kidney problems.
9. Smoking
Smokers who are heavy drinkers have about five times the chance of developing chronic kidney disease than people who don’t smoke or drink alcohol to excess.
10.Sitting still
Sitting for long periods of time has now been linked to the development of kidney disease. Although researchers don’t know yet why or how sedentary time or physical activity directly impact kidney health, it is known that greater physical activity is associated with improved blood pressure and glucose metabolism, both important factors in kidney health.
